Late Victorian Brass and gilt metal Permanent Almanac made by Perry & Co
The back swivels around with a small lever, and the front moves when you just push around with your thumb, to use the calendar. Great piece of early engineering.
30 mm Diameter
Weight 8.5 Grams
I don’t know much about antiques, but this seems like a very interesting Victorian piece! Thought you might be interested in my short film Death Is No Bad Friend about Robert Louis and Fanny Stevenson in San Francisco: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/death-is-no-bad-friend/x/1089930 Best regards, G. I look forward to watching your film. I used to play in Queen Street Gardens opposite the house on Heriot Row he lived in! There was a pond with a small Island which we were told inspired him to write Treasure Island.
